A WORD FROM MR PIENAAR

What a wonderful few weeks it has been in our school community! I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our parents, caregivers, staff, and students for their enthusiastic support of several special events that have brought our community together.

Book Week was a fantastic celebration of reading, imagination, and creativity. It was wonderful to see students embracing the theme through their costumes, classroom activities, and shared love of books. Thank you to our staff for the time and effort invested in making the week so engaging, and to our families for helping students participate so enthusiastically.

Our Indonesia Quiz Evening was another outstanding success. It was a wonderful night of fun, laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit. Events such as these are only possible because of the generosity of our volunteers and the support of our families. Thank you to everyone who helped organise, set up, donate, attend, and contribute to making the evening such an enjoyable occasion.

We are also incredibly proud of our Agricultural Show Teams and the hard work they have put in throughout the year. A special thank you goes to the staff, parents, and supporters who have dedicated countless hours to preparing students and animals for competition. Your commitment and encouragement make these opportunities possible. As our teams begin competing at the Royal Adelaide Show from this weekend through until next Thursday, we wish every student the very best. We know you will represent our school with pride, determination, and sportsmanship. Good luck to all involved!

As we approach Father’s Day, we look forward to celebrating the important role that dads and father figures play in the lives of our students.

Our Junior School Father’s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday morning at JS, and we warmly invite all dads and father figures to join us for this special occasion. We hope to see many of you there as we celebrate together.

The ELC will also be celebrating dads on Thursday afternoon, and we encourage all fathers and special male role models to come along, enjoy something to eat, and spend some quality time with the children. We are looking forward to welcoming you and sharing this special celebration.

SPIRITUAL FOOD
“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season.” Deuteronomy 28:12

As the Unity College community, we thank God for His faithfulness and abundant blessings over our students, families, staff, and wider community. We are especially grateful for the rain He has provided this season, bringing renewed hope and provision to our farming community. We pray God’s blessing upon our students, that they may grow in wisdom, character, and faith, using their gifts to serve others and glorify Him. May we continue to trust in His goodness and walk together with thankful hearts.

Thank you once again to our families and staff for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. Together, we continue to create meaningful experiences and opportunities for our students.

Blessings
Mr Francois Pienaar, Principal
