Over the coming weeks, you may notice advertising from Independent Schools Australia under its School Choice Counts platform. The campaign is supported by a major report, The Great Education Shift, which explores why families choose Independent schools, the diversity of Independent schools across Australia, and the financial commitment many families make to support that choice. We thought it may be helpful to let you know what it is, as some families in our community may see the campaign and be interested in the report behind it.
The campaign has been developed by Independent Schools Australia. Its purpose is to raise awareness of school choice, affordability and the experiences of families who choose Independent education. Some parents may find the report of interest because it explores issues such as:
Why families choose particular schools;
The different kinds of Independent schools across Australia;
The role of affordability in school choice;
The contribution families make to education;
The importance of recognising families from all walks of life who choose Independent schools.
No action is required from parents. The campaign is simply intended to share information and contribute to a broader national conversation about school choice and education policy.
