SENIOR SCHOOL

SENIOR SCHOOL

YEAR 10 - YEAR 12

Through a comprehensive range of  courses, Unity College aims to prepare Senior School students for a variety of tertiary and vocational pathways, equipping them with the skills to make positive contributions to the community.

Unity College supports students to achieve their SACE through multiple pathways including a ‘traditional’ SACE pathway, a Vocational Educational (VET) pathway embedded in the SACE curriculum and an apprenticeship (school based) pathway.

YOU ARE CARED FOR

We work hard to foster positive relationships that recognise each student as unique and individual. Our students know they work with caring staff who strive to understand them and provide the support required to achieve individual goals. Students are prepared for successful participation in society and encouraged to embrace the challenges of today’s world – approaching the future with confidence.

SENIOR SCHOOL CURRICULUM

WE LEARN

The Unity College Senior School academic curriculum builds on the globally-minded program our Middle School students undertake (International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme). Senior students develop both independent and collaborative learning skills in an environment that strives for excellence in every pursuit.

SACE STAGE 1 & 2

At Unity College, we offer the opportunity for students to achieve their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). The SACE is an internationally recognised qualification that helps students develop capabilities to live, learn, work and participate successfully in an ever-changing society. Through the SACE, students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed – whether they are headed for further education, training, an apprenticeship or straight into the workforce.

PATHWAYS

In Years 10, 11 and 12 we place a strong emphasis on preparing students for life beyond school and offer a comprehensive vocational pathways program. Students are supported in career planning, subject choices and VET options.
